Medina County Health Center in the Medina County Health Department is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in northeastern Ohio, providing primary care, dental care, behavioral health, and enabling services to over 2,600 patients annually regardless of ability to pay.

The Medical Director plays an important role in the delivery of high quality, patient-centered, and community-based comprehensive primary care.  In addition to clinical oversight in the Health Center, the Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the quality of clinical services provided by the Health Department, such as public health nursing, WIC, and emergency preparedness. The Medical Director provides clinical and administrative leadership for medical providers and clinical support staff, and directly supervises nurse practitioners. The Medical Director participates in the organization’s quality program and is responsible for improving clinical metrics related to CMS Meaningful Use and HRSA Uniform Data Set. The Medical Director assists in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures. The Medical Director position includes direct patient care responsibilities.  Demonstrated commitment to the Medina County Health Department’s mission to prevent, promote and protect.

Candidate must be a graduate of an Accredited Physician Residency Program and hold an unrestricted Ohio medical license, current DEA registration and be Board certified or eligible. If Board eligible, must pass exam within 6 months of hire.
